The Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo is currently located at it’s temporary location at 4050 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303 The permanent location is currently being built and will open in the summer of 2020. This is a perfect place to take children aged 1 to about 7 years old in my opinion. The Middlefield location does not have zoo animals at this time, they have insects, small rodents, and reptiles. This museum is filled with interactive science exhibits for little ones. There is a huge spider web climbing net that is visible right when you walk in. This museum is open, airy and has lots of sunlight. It does get pretty busy especially on weekends. I have found the best time to come is during the week right when they open at 10AM.
